Allora — Every life deserves a book

Family memoirs, told by voice

Every life deserves a book

Allora is an app that records a life, spoken aloud. Open it, and an interviewer asks about your life, one question at a time. You talk. Your stories become a book in your own words: a PDF to read, to share with the family, and to keep.

How it works

The interviewer asks. You talk.

On the screen, one question: a place, a person, a season. Press the round button and answer as you remember it, a few minutes at a time. We're in no hurry.

Inside the phone

Your memories, kept

Every answer is written down: the stove already lit, the frost on the window, the words only said at home. The next question follows what you said. Nothing is invented, and nothing is dressed up.

Chapter by chapter

Set into chapters

Session by session, your words become chapters, in order, in your own voice, with nothing added. Read them in the app, change a paragraph, or put it back to how you first said it.

The book

Your book, ready to read

When the chapters are done, your book comes as a PDF, set in the same type you are reading now, with your photographs exactly as they were sent. Read it on any screen, send it to the family, or have it printed wherever you like.

Their inheritance

One family, many voices

One book for each voice: great-grandmother's, grandmother's, father's, mother's, and one day the children's. Together they grow into a family tree of stories.

Two books

Choose the book you have in mind

Story

119.99 €

15 chapters · 60–90 pages

One life told in its main chapters: home, school, work, the people who mattered.

Chronicle

189.99 €

30 chapters · 120–180 pages

Room for the details: the neighbours, the journeys, the recipes, the years nobody asked about.

Both come as a PDF book, set like a printed one, with your photographs: read it on any screen, share it with the family, or have it printed wherever you like. A chapter is one part of your life, told question by question, with up to five photographs. Chapters can be added later: 1 for 8.49 €, 3 for 22.99 €, 5 for 36.99 €, 10 for 64.99 €. You pay through the App Store or Google Play. We're in no hurry.

A page from a book

Your stories live in the details. Give them a page.

The stove was already lit when I came down, and my mother stood with her back to me, humming something I never learned the name of. The kitchen smelled of rye and of the cold that came in on my father's coat.

We had one window, and in winter it grew a garden of frost on the inside. I would scratch my initials into it before school and find them gone by the evening.

An example of how a chapter reads: your own sentences, in order, with nothing added. Only the interviewer's questions and the false starts are left out. Every detail matters. Tell it as you remember it.

Each paragraph keeps its original. Change a word, and the way you first said it is one tap away.
